Tripping the Light Fandango

Stocks Hall Mawdesley have certainly had their dancing shoes on lately, inviting talented local singer, Adam Sinclair, to serenade them with his smooth music tones, and taking the opportunity to clap along and even launch into a foxtrot!

The Home’s Manager, Faye Wilkinson, said “it put a smile on everyone’s face, with many of the people living here – including a lovely couple from our Independent Living Apartments – joining in. I know everyone is really looking forward to the next musical celebration”.

And they didn’t have to wait too long, as the Home also hosted a trip back in time to the 50’s with the lounge transformed into their Rock ’n Roll dance floor.

Nobody could resist a bit of swing dancing, with one lucky lady, Betty Freeman, feeling like the bell of the ball, after being asked to dance by our Senior Carer, Paul. Betty loved showing him her favorite dance moves.

    

It was a lovely surprise to see such a big turnout at the party, and seeing the staff all dancing with the people whose home this is – many of them showing us how it is done properly!
