Sports Day Fun & Games at Stocks Hall Mawdesley Home
People living at Stocks Hall Mawdesley Care Home, along with family members, friends and staff enjoyed a wide variety of fitness fun as they held their very own Sports Day.
The spirited event at the Mawdesley Home saw competitors battling it out to be crowned sporting champions in several events, including ‘wheelchair egg and spoon race’, ‘bean bag throw’, ‘penalty shoot-out’ and ‘relay-races’.
The family atmosphere shone throughout as people living at the Home, relatives and staff all supported and encouraged each other, working together as the team that they are.
After an energetic morning of traditional games, it was time to enjoy cool refreshments and relax together to recover from the exertions.
Jordan McCullough, Activities Coordinator at the Home, said “This event has been so much fun for all the family to enjoy, lots of laughter and smiles all around. It was a great team-building exercise too; both competitors and spectators said they’re all looking forward to further events such as this.”
