Ladies’ Night Fashion Show Success

Stocks Hall Living at Mawdesley, celebrated a great evening recently and hosted a superb Ladies’ Night.

From the moment stepping through the doors, a very warm welcome awaited everyone from Faye and Jordan, with the evening commencing at 7pm with a delicious buffet, together with the opportunity to browse through many high quality stalls of crafts and fancy goods, and also indulging in a selection of cocktails on offer too.

Lewis, the grandson of our member of staff, Hazel, entertained the guests by providing a superb display of modern dancing, then everybody sat back in their seats to enjoy a Fashion Show. Models graced the cinema room ‘runway’, showing off an array of beautiful clothing which was all very tempting to the eyes.

Following the Fashion Show there was a raffle with fabulous prizes, after which ‘Mulberry Moon’ opened their shop stall for guests to purchase any of the items of the clothing they’d earlier seen modelled.

Faye, the Home’s Manager, said “What a fabulous night! A very well organised and successful evening, with all the guests really enjoying it. How lovely too, seeing some of the people that live here, enjoying the event as well.

 

Special thanks go to Jordan, for organising the whole evening, and to Glen the Chef too, who stayed until late just in case more food and drinks were required! It was also really great to be supported by our Managing Director, Sue Lace, who attended along with her granddaughter.”

The event raised over £600 on the night, which will all go towards the entertainment funds for special trips out and extra activity resources for everyone living at the Mawdesley Home.
