A ‘lorra lorra’ laughs in Liverpool

An enjoyable time was had by all of the ladies and gentleman living at Stocks Hall Mawdelsey, who travelled to Liverpool Docks for the day, ably assisted by Joanne, Activities Co-ordinator, Mike, Minibus Driver and Carer, Angela.

The Albert Dock is the largest collection of Grade I listed buildings in Britain. A vibrant, cultured, friendly and fun place to visit, the dock includes the Tate Liverpool gallery, Merseyside Maritime Museum, The Beatles Story exhibition, and an array of bars and restaurants.

The group treated themselves to a delicious lunch before visiting the Liverpool Maratime Museum and taking a walk around the docks to admire the tall ships, which particularly interested John and also Elsie, who had never visited before.

There was also time to look in the shops, which gave Jean and Violet the opportunity to purchase some colourful scarves.

Joanne, Activities Co-ordinator says “It was a wonderful day out, Liverpool is an exciting city to explore.  We spent time taking together about famous Liverpool legends such as The Beatles and Cilla Black.  We can’t wait to return soon.”
